A few years ago a group of equine enthusiasts and citizens committed to the future growth of Berks County assembled and assessed the merits of attempting to maintain the beauty that is Berks County through horses and the business they generate.
Furthermore, this group was also dedicated to the concept of harnessing the collective energy of fellow “horse” enthusiasts for the purpose of enhancing and renewing equine activities in Berks County.
Gathering information about the existing equine facilities and related businesses became the focus of this group of volunteers. As momentum, information, and awareness grew, it became apparent that equine enthusiasts and the businesses they support would benefit from an organized directory of services.
The Berks Equine Council was born out of these efforts with the encouragement and support of Honorary Chairman, Judy Schwank, Berks County Commissioner.
Preserving open space while strengthening agri-business and harnessing the energy of “horse lovers” are our goals. Your emails, comments, suggestions, or contributions are always welcome. Thank you for visiting!
